Digitel toasts birth of Sun business
MANILA, Philippines - Amid the backdrop of a Moroccan-inspired affair dubbed “A Marrakesh-mas Night,” Digitel held its annual Christmas bash at Topshelf of Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street. The theme party showcased brighter times ahead for its customers, corporate partners, officers, and employees. The hot and sizzling celebration definitely got everyone into the Mediterranean groove.
The Christmas party was an opportunity for Digitel to give thanks to its valued clients by inviting them to a night of cocktails, dinner, and dancing with Digitel as a business community and family. Those in attendance included executives from Accenture, BDO, BPI, Citibank, McDonald’s, IPVG, Metrobank, LBC Express, PGMC, RCBC, PSBank, Smartmatic, Sykes, Goldilocks, Verizon Business and JG Summit affiliates, among others. Digitel officers who welcomed the guests were led by Dicky Liwanag, VP for corporate sales-LEC, together with Joy Hilao, VP for corporate sales–LEC and GSM; and Corinne Zablan, AVP for corporate sales-GSM.
The venue was designed with heavy, draped velvet curtains, Morroccan lanterns, and other accents that set the stage, from the Middle-Eastern music courtesy of a live band to entertaining performances from professional belly dancers.
Lucky guests brought home cool gadgets and prizes in raffles and games, including a BlackBerry Curve, Samsung 32-inch LCD TV, Lenovo Netbook, iPod Touch, Sun Broadband Wireless Prepaid Kits, and Robinsons Supermarket gift packs. Winners of the games also received a Cebu Pacific roundtrip ticket for two to Beijing and an overnight stay at Go Hotels.
One of the highlights of the affair was the launch of the Sun Business, which is the convergence of the fixed and mobile business units for the SME and corporate markets. An Aladdin-inspired slideshow presentation telling this story in a creative and lighthearted manner was presented to the crowd and became an instant hit.
The birth of Sun Business signals a more dynamic, comprehensive, and proactive business partnership with clients. And, just like the rousing Marrakesh-mas Night affair, this union is ready to take on the country’s telecommunications industry in a very powerful way.
