Metrobank Card salutes outstanding teachers

MANILA, Philippines - In keeping with its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Metrobank Card Corporation (MCC), the Philippines’ leading local credit card company, recently honored the country’s most outstanding teachers. MCC, led by Deputy Cards head Anna Therese Cuenco, awarded the 10 honorees of Metrobank Foundation’s Search for Outstanding Teachers 2009 with specially designed Metrobank credit cards and certificates of appreciation. This year’s winners consist of four elementary school teachers, four secondary school teachers, and two in the higher education levels. Now in its 25th year, the Search for Outstanding Teachers recognizes educators who demonstrate their commitment to the development of the youth through exemplary competence, remarkable dedication to work, and effective educational leadership. MCC is a joint venture between Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank) and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ).
