De Castro leads Beacon topping-off ceremony
MANILA, Philippines - At The Beacon, the three-tower landmark development set to rise in the heart of Makati City, a topping-off ceremony for the Roces Tower was recently held with Vice President Noli de Castro as guest of honor.
De Castro, who also serves as chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), lauded Geo Estate Development Corporation, developer of The Beacon, for translating a pioneering concept into a clear-cut development that will provide Filipinos affordable residential condominium units with a wide range of amenities.
The Beacon, De Castro added, subscribes to the government’s vision of providing every Filipino family with quality housing.
Aside from De Castro, others who graced the event included Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) chief executive officer Jaime Fabiana, RCBC chairperson Helen Yuchengco Dee, EEI president Robert Jose Castillo, RCBC director and EEI chairman Rizalino Navarro, and Albert Yu, the principal architect of The Beacon.
The event marks an important milestone for the P8 billion realty project. Furthermore, the ceremony comes as sales for the first tower, the 44-story Roces, sold out within a year after it was launched — an unprecedented feat for a newcomer in the property development industry.
On the other hand, Arnaiz, the second tower, which will soon stand 50 stories high, is already experiencing robust sales. The third tower in the complex, the 44-story Amorsolo, is also part of the master plan.
The completion of the physical structure of the Roces Tower, concluded in a little over a year, underscores Geo Estate’s commitment to deliver projects on time. As Francisco Licuanan III, Geo Estates chairman and CEO, noted during the ceremony, “We know what you want, we know what you need, and we will deliver everything as we’ve promised.”
Construction was done at par with high international standards. Meticulous care was taken over every detail, from the podium structure and the concrete and steel quantities to the flooring, kitchen and bathroom finishes, windows and other unit interiors.
On the environmental front, The Beacon also infused green technology, from the large windows and high ceilings, to maximize natural lighting while encouraging passive cooling. There are also expansive gardens to promote daily communing with nature. The Beacon attempts to redefine condominium living by offering its residents an exclusive residential resort lifestyle in Makati.
Its location, on the corner of Don Chino Roces Ave. (formerly Pasong Tamo) and Arnaiz Ave. (formerly Pasay Road), offers convenient access for residents to commute. Resting on almost one hectare of land, the exclusive enclave offers studio to three-bedroom units, with prices starting at P1.8 million. A resort-style pool with lap lanes, a state-of-the-art gym and massage rooms, exclusive concierge and property management services complete The Beacon experience.
The turnover for Roces, the first tower, is due in 2011.
