-

MANILA, Philippines - Sun Cruises, Inc., a member of Magsaysay’s Transport & Logistics Group, recently became the 5th business unit under the group’s umbrella to be certified to ISO 9001:2000 quality management system by Societe Generale de Surveillance (SGS). The awarding ceremony was held during a Manila Bay Cruise onboard M/V Sun Cruiser II, one of the two internationally classed fast ferries of Sun Cruises regularly plying the Manila-Corregidor-Manila route for foreign and local tourists.

A plaque of certification was awarded by Rosario Cajucom-Bradbury, SGS Philippines’ managing director, to Rolando Portes, general manager of Sun Cruises, with Doris Magsaysay Ho, president & CEO of the Magsaysay Group of Companies, and Roberto Umali, COO of Magsaysay Transport & Logistics Group.

Sun Cruises, Inc. provides fast ferry services and is a major tour operator in Corregidor Island, offering historical, adventure and corporate tours including hotel accommodations. Sun Cruises’ fast ferries make it possible for tourists to reach Corregidor Island in just over an hour from Manila. It also offers Manila Bay Cruise for private and corporate functions or events. Recently, Sun Cruises started calling Camaya Coast every Saturday to bring in potential investors interested in owning properties in this private and secluded haven located at the Bagac-Mariveles border in Bataan. It bared its latest projects and long-term plans to attending government officials from the Department of Tourism (DOT) led by regional director for NCR Reynato Chua.

Sun Cruises capped off the event with a presentation of its new corporate color and company logo and its online booking and payment system on www.corregidorphilippines.com, which is expected to be operational soon.
