PLDT SME Nation and Go Negosyo celebrate partnership
Industry hotshots and new-blood entrepreneurs recently trooped to Cav in Bonifacio High Street to toast the partnership between two of the country’s most respected groups, PLDT SME Nation and Go Negosyo.
PLDT SME Nation is the newest PLDT brainchild, specifically conceptualized to skew PLDT’s services towards small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By teaming up with Go Negosyo, PLDT SME Nation has duly reinforced its thrust of “putting small businesses in the same league as the big guys,” as PLDT SME Nation VP and head Kat Luna-Abelarde said.
“This is an exciting development for us,” says Go Negosyo’s founding trustee Joey Concepcion. “We’ve always wanted this partnership with PLDT SME Nation and now that it’s finally done, all the small and medium businesses can definitely look forward to a better infrastructure.”
Sharing the same ideals and goals, the synergy is indeed expected.
“With PLDT SME Nation, independence and leadership are within reach of anyone who wants to be their own boss,” adds PLDT SME Community Consultancy head Gabby Cui.
“Suddenly, SMEs are exposed to a much larger marketplace. Add to that Go Negosyo’s helping hand, and success doesn’t seem too far away.”
PLDT SME Nation partners with different business organizations where they offer tailor-fit solutions such as broadband connectivity, business-enabling devices like computers, wireless access points, wireless card payment terminals, software applications, and contents like sales inventory management software and online website builders.
It hopes to be at the forefront of re-educating SMEs on the importance and value of the digital marketplace.
Guests were treated to dishes from the Cav kitchen. Bottles of red and white wine were uncorked and enjoyed. Cui did double duty as host. JB dela Cruz, performing artist and magician, wowed the crowd with his sleight of hand.
At the affair were PLDT SVP and head of Customer Sales and Marketing Group Eric Alberto, PLDT-Smart Foundation president Butch Meily, and Go Negosyo executive director Mon Lopez.
Also present were PLDT-Smart Foundation executive director Anthony Pangilinan, Vicky Zubiri, GMA Network’s Rod Cornejo, Go Negosyo deputy executive director Raffy Ortega, and Entrepreneurs School of Asia founder Joel Santos.
The event likewise saw a couple of SME VIPs like Louie and May Gutierrez of Silverworks and Rommel Juan of Binalot Foods.
The Go Negosyo Caravan-PLDT SME Nation Roadshow is currently on a nationwide tour.
