Marc Cerqueda identifies with Batman

SINGLES@WORK - Aurora Diaz-Wilson -
Each morning, Marc Cerqueda briefs his eight department heads on how to cope with the many things that can happen in conference centers so that everything operates smoothly. As general manager of the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center, Marc Cerqueda, 32, must keep the guests happy and ensure that all of the facilities are in order. With 112 guest rooms to fill up and 17 conference rooms to sell, Marc’s work involves aggressively selling and marketing their services. The biggest conference room holds up to 800 people. Marc’s staff of 200 employees help him run the show.

Cerqueda started his career in a small Swiss chalet called Hotel L’ Prairie. There amidst the white snow, he practiced what he learned at the Cesar Ritz Hotel School. Since then, he has worked in Switzerland, England, Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines. Our 6’1" bachelor is from the principality of Andorra, renowned as the second smallest country in the world with an area of only 175 sq. miles. He reflects on playing poker, having a fascinating dream and being clumsy.
