Angela Ylagan, 36, is a very accomplished lawyer whose crusade to protect copyrights and trademarks gets her talking with passion about the harm that pirated music and game CDs and film DVDs do to society. My mother, Amelia Ylagan, who is a doctor of Business Administration at UP. She was widowed at 29 and did not have a job then. She taught me about perseverance and determination. She earned her MBA at Ateneo while working.
What is your most fervent wish ?
To be healthy and live to be 100 years old like the Queen Mother. Did you know that 10,000 people celebrated their Septuagenarian Day this year?
How do you resolve your conflicts?
I am slowly learning the grace of going to Mass before I react.

George Orwells Animal Farm with its cynical way of talking about government.
Which hero of fiction can you most identify with?
Babe, the pig. They wanted him to be a pig but he wanted to be a sheep dog. In my case, I dont want to be confined to just being a woman.

Procrastination

Lack of guts.

Books. Jewelry. I read about the quality of amber in Poland. I love earrings.

High school and college were really fun. All I had to accomplish was to get good grades. Now there are a zillion things to do.

I had to work hard and sacrifice to earn my degrees: UP Law, Member of the Philippine and New York Bars, and Philippine CPA.

Parties.
