Carol Dominguez would rather be a yoga teacher

SINGLES@WORK - Aurora Diaz-Wilson -
It’s all about controlling your mind, believes Carol, who has mastered the art of yoga in her quest to heal herself. If one can control one’s thoughts while standing on one’s head, then discipline is easier to achieve. Life’s demands can be looked at in a more detached way.

For more than 12 years, Carol Dominguez worked in Citibank’s offices around the world. Her assignments led her to live in Milan, London and New York where she rose to the position of VP International Trade Finance. A life-threatening illness forced her to go through a dramatic change of lifestyle. No more hectic meetings across continents. Carol had to take it easy, and so she did... in a way.

Our bachelorette joined the John Clements group. Using Connecticutt as her base, she looked for clients who needed nurses from the Philippines. Carol might still be in America now but for the sudden death of the president of John Clements, her father, Cadi, in August, 2002. Overnight, she picked up her laptop and moved to the Philippines to be part of the John Clements’ management team leading 183 employees through its 27th year of service.

With an MBA from the Kellogg School of Northwestern University, Carol reveals here that her sense of life’s pleasure has to do with yoga, self-esteem and being healthy.
