Exhibit of Aguilar Alcuaz family collection opens at Galerie Stephanie

MANILA, Philippines - As part of the activities to celebrate the memory of National Artist Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Galerie Stephanie mounts an exhibit of works from the collection of the artist’s family estate. It will mark the fifth death anniversary of the artist who died on Feb. 2, 2011.

The show opens on, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at Galerie Stephanie, Unit 1B, Parc Plaza Bldg., 183 E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave., Libis, Quezon City, Philippines. The show is on view until Jan. 26.

Present at the occasion will be Ute Aguilar Alcuaz, the artist’s German wife, who flew in from the family estate in Hanover, Germany, as well as Christian Aguilar, the eldest son of the artist and the authorized authenticator of his works. Christian is a professor and restorer of cultural heritage artifacts.

The exhibit will feature the works to be included in a book about the Aguilar Alcuaz family’s collection.
