Martin Genodepa at University of the Philippines-Visayas

University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) professor Martin Genodepa reinterprets one artwork’s theme into another artwork in “Duyan Ka Ng Magiting,” which is on view until Dec. 3 at the Miag-ao, Iloilo campus, UPV.

The installation hanging on the main pillars of the facade of the building — facing the flagpole and the Oblation — consists of several pieces of duyan (rattan hammock), inspired by a line in Lupang Hinirang.

‘Dagdagop: A Gathering’ at Cafe by the Ruins

Dr. Philip del Carmen, a pediatrician at St. Luke’s Hospital, presents a visual narrative of life in the Cordilleras in a benefit exhibit titled “Dagdagop: A Gathering,” which is on view until Feb. 19 at Cafe by the Ruins in Baguio.

Proceeds of the show will benefit the children of indigent families in the highlands who need medical care.
