Randalf Dilla’s ‘Salvaged Memories, Salvaged Lives’ mural at Ayala Museum
MANILA, Philippines - Hiraya Gallery features young Batanes painter Randalf Dilla in an exhibition entitled, “Tyranny of Hindsight,” which was launched last Nov. 5 at the ArtistSpace of the Ayala Museum. The exhibition showcases “#WHAT NOW” and “Salvaged Memories, Salvaged Lives,” two photo realistic murals.
“#WHAT NOW” is “a disturbing portrait of a country in a perpetual state of upheaval and turmoil, pathetically left behind by other Asian countries, while governed by grandstanding leaders heedless of the people’s plight.”
“Salvaged Memories, Salvaged Lives” is celebratory for winning the Best Social Commentary Award in a worldwide contest sponsored by the Art Renewal Center in New Jersey, USA, the organization behind one of the world’s largest encyclopedic online art reference archiving “known works of the greatest painters and sculptors in human history,” which promotes the highest standards in classical realism.
“Tyranny of Hindsight” runs until Nov. 19.
ArtistSpace is at the ground level, Ayala Museum Annex, Makati Avenue corner De La Rosa Street, Greenbelt Park, Makati City. For information, call Lorraine Datuin, at 759-8288 or email artistspace@ayalafoundation.org.
