Gallery News: Galerie Anna, Gallerie CMG, Mendez Big and Small at Manila Art 2015

MANILA, Philippines - Galerie Anna, Gallerie CMG and Mendez Big and Small join Manila Art 2015, which opens on Oct. 7 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura, Taguig City.

Ricky Ambagan, Cezar Arro, Robert Besana, Ferdie Cacnio, Toti Cerda, Arvi Fetalvero, Ivy Floresca, Jun Impas, Gerry Joquico Jr., Vincent Padilla and Bryan Teves represent the human physiogonomy as a complex territory and map of mystery — subject to decoding in order to yield, illuminate and embody energies and forces of flesh and spirit — in “Figuring the Body.”

Curated by Robert Besana, the show is presented by Galerie Anna.

Mendez Big and Small Gallery presents the works of Aleah Angeles and Gemo Tapales.

Angeles showcases”Four Seasons of a Rose,” a series of four inter-related paintings; and “Anatomy of a Butterfly,” which boasts 300 paintings of different species of the butterfly.

Tapales, who is the first grand prize winner of the Metrobank Art Competition, works with the illusion wrought by trompe-l’oeil painting.
