MANILA, Philippines - Raul Sunico — who is currently the president of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and is the dean of the Conservatory of Music of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) — has been conferred numerous awards, and has been active in the international concert scene.

Sunico’s performance is part of the ongoing MMCO 15th Crystal Anniversary Concert Season under the baton of veteran multi-awarded conductor and composer, Josefino Chino Toledo. Crystal is symbolic of MMCO’s sound of excellence throughout its 15 sparkling years as a premier pace-setting orchestra in the Philippines and Asia.

MMCO has lined up its major performances with world-class soloists: at the Meralco Theater on Sept. 18, 7 p.m. – Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3 with soloist Raul M. Sunico; Oct. 21, 7 p.m. – the amazing Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 with soloist Jose Artemio Panganiban III; Nov. 30, 7 p.m. – the incredible  Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 to be performed by pianist Albert Tiu.

At the CCP Little Theater on Jan. 8, 7 p.m. – the mother-daughter tandem Cristine Coyiuto performing the enchanting  piano concerto Ravel in G Major, and daughter Caitlin, soloist-flute performing Rodrigo’s Fantasia Para Un Gentil Hombre.
