GALLERY NEWS: Addie Cukingnan at Paseo Gallery

MANILA, Philippines - Addie Cukingnan pays homage to her Chinese lineage in “Legacy,” which opens on Aug. 5. The show runs until Aug. 28 at Paseo Gallery’s showrooms in Glorietta 4, The Artspace, Ayala Center in Makati, and at the Artwalk, fourth floor, SM Megamall A, Mandaluyong City.

Cukingnan alludes to the traditional Chinese brush and black ink medium through the adaptation of Western chiaroscuro and tenebrism, characterized by dramatic contrast between light and darkness.
