Filfest presents Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’ with a twist
MANILA, Philippines - Filfest Cultural Foundation and Insular Life present the music of Antonio Vivaldi, one of the great Baroque composers, featuring the members of the famed Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO)
The MSO will take on the quintessential masterpiece The Four Seasons on Sept. 13 at the Insular Life Auditorium with a new and exciting twist: the orchestra will interpret Vivaldi’s masterpiece in its original form as well as in a form influenced by jazz, rock and tango. Works by other composers inspired by the masterpiece are on the bill as well.
Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons has long been considered as the most famous classical music piece written. The work has been featured in numerous movies including the James Bond movie A View to A Kill and Harrison Ford’s What Lies Beneath, among others.
