Gallery News: ‘Beyond Tobacco’ at Ayala Museum
MANILA, Philippines - The Embassy of Spain in the Philippines, in partnership with the Ayala Museum, presents “Beyond Tobacco: Tabacalera — A Bridge Between the Philippines and Spain,†which opens today at the Ayala Museum, Makati City. The show runs until July 6.
Curated by Prof. Martin Rodrigo, “Beyond Tobacco†retraces the history of Compañia General de Tabacos de Filipinas (Tabacalera), the main tobacco company in the country, through a selection of images, maps, books, art objects and antiques that have been loaned by Spanish and Philippine institutions as well as private collectors.
