Julie Lluch unveils Mabini sculpture in Batangas

In commemoration of Gat. Apolinario Mabini’s 150th birth anniversary, Julie Lluch unveiled her sculpture of the Batangas hero during the ceremonial turnover held last Saturday in Tanauan, Batangas.

The sculpture was donated by First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) to the people of Tanauan.

MACC winning entries at Museo ng Arkidiyosesis ng Maynila

The Museo ng Arkidiyosesis ng Maynila (MANA) presents the winning artworks and finalists of the recent painting competition of the Manila Archdiocesan Commission for Cultural Heritage of the Church (MACC), which are on view at MANA, third floor, Arzobispado de Manila, 121 Intramuros, Manila.

The winning artworks are “Debosyon ng Kabataang Pilipino” by Ryan F. Caslib (First City Providential College, San Jose del Monte City), first place; “Ala-ala sa Likod ng Lumang Bato” by Edu P. Perreras (Holy Parish, Angeles City), second place; and “Pundasyon” by Andrew D. Tan (FEATI), third place.

‘Museum of Miniatures’ at Riverbanks Center

The late Aleli Salinas Vengua’s more than 60,000 miniature pieces that she designed to resemble the interior of a 24-room mansion are featured in “Museum of Miniatures,” which is on view at the second floor, E-Com Bldg.,  Riverbanks Center, Marikina City.

The collection, where each room is enclosed in a glass case, comprises the masters’ bedroom, the boys’ and girls’ rooms, a nursery, living and dining rooms, the kitchen and dirty kitchen, bathrooms, the study and reading rooms.

Her collections were on display in her QC home until her death in 2001.
