Israeli duo caps Philippine visit

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Israeli duo RevelDay, featuring Guy Mentesh and Yahel Doron, recently performed at The Ayala Museum in front of a capacity crowd.

The childhood friends are known for their cover of the Kings of Leon’s Sex on Fire. Their first hit I Dunno What To Say launched them on the Israeli music charts. The Tel-Avivians have since produced their own self-titled album in 2011 and are now working on their second album titled “RevelDay II.”

The Ayala Museum show also featured Filipino bossa nova singer Sitti who did a cover of Rivermaya’s Himala with Mentesh and Doron. The two previously made waves with their performance at the Greenbelt Park. They also made their Philippine TV debut on music channel MYX, appearing on the Daily Top 10 program, followed by a slot on the variety show ASAP Chill-Out.

RevelDay was part of the great roster assembled for the 2013 Philippine Jazz and Arts Festival in partnership with the Ayala Museum, and with the participation of the Embassy of Israel.
