National Artists and contemporary masters at Ateneo art auction
MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo Alumni Association, in cooperation with Dr. Leovino Ma. Garcia of the School of Humanities, once again presents the Ateneo Art Auction now on its fifth year to be held at Finale Art File, La Fuerza Compound, 2241 Pasong Tamo in Makati City.
Regular patrons can look forward to previewing the art selections on Oct. 4 and 5 (from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and on Oct. 6 (from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) The live auction will be held on Oct. 6, Saturday, at 4 p.m. The artworks are available online at http://www.ateneoartauction.com. 
Seventy outstanding artworks will be showcased, including pieces by master artists like Ang Kiukok, Jose Joya, BenCab, Nena Saguil, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Romulo Galicano, Lao Lianben, Gus Albor and Julie Lluch. The auction will also feature pieces by artists currently making waves in the international art scene such as Ronald Ventura, Geraldine Javier, and Rodel Tapaya.
The annual fundraising event supports intellectually-gifted yet financially disadvantaged students of the Ateneo de Manila University. At the same time, it aims to generate more appreciation and awareness of the immense talent of our local artists.
