Orley Ypon wins in international competition

 Orley Ypon bagged first place (Figurative Category) for his piece “Resurrection” in the International 2012 Art Renewal Center (ARC) Salon held in New Jersey.

Out of five submitted works, four made it to the finalists round. “Incubus” was awarded The Most Ambitious Work runner up.

German-based gallery donates painting to NCCA

In commemoration of the 10th death anniversary of Mabini artist Paco Gorospe, Klaus Hartung and his wife Jane, managing director of Transwing Kunst Gallery in Darmstadt, Germany and owner of the late artist’s painting “Mango Vendor,” donated said artwork to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

The donation was presented to NCCA head Felipe de Leon and Nemesio Miranda Jr.
