Earth Day celebrations at Nuvali

- Aaron Erick Lozada -

MANILA, Philippines - Celebrities and eco-lovers gathered at the Evoliving Center Dockside at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa City on April 21, as everyone enjoyed a night filled with music and entertainment which was hosted by Angel Jacob and featured performances by the country’s top performers: Mel Villena and band, Juris, Zia Quizon, Jed Madela, Kyla, and Asia’s pop superstar – Christian Bautista.

Dubbed as the "Green Freedom Concert," music artists performed songs celebrating Mother Earth.

It was a unified celebration for planet Earth as there was something definitely different in the air during the concert aside from the fresh, crisp winds of Nuvali. With every song that is played, excitement surrounded the Evoliving Center not only for the performers but also for our home, planet Earth. It was truly a glorious celebration for Mother Nature.

Aside from the concert, eco-lovers also enjoyed the Green Market which was held at the Solenad 1 Activity Center on April 21 and 22 . Eco-vendors gathered for an organic food and eco-product extravaganza to promote locally produced items, such as decorative items, organic fresh produce, and community made products.

Also, visitors of the Green Market were treated to an array of activities where they could participate and join, such as lectures on Vertical Gardening by Greens & Patches; Bird Watching lessons by the Wild Bird Club; Boat Making lessons using recycled Tetra Pak cartons; and demos on healthy and organic cooking.

Other activities at the Green Market included Mini Bird Walks, a Climate Clinic ,and a Freedom Wall where visitors can write whatever they like for Mother Nature. (philstar.com)
