Three shows at Finale Art File
"We're More Popular Than Jesus" By Raymond Legaspi
Raymond Legaspi, Waling Gorospe, and Paulo Vinluan and Maria Taniguchi hold simultaneous exhibits slated from Jan. 6 to 28 at Finale Art File, Warehouse 17, La Fuerza Compound, 2241 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City.
Legaspi showcases his acrylic on canvas paintings of hybrid icons — a humorous merging of our objects of devotion from both mass media and religion — in “Pop Idols,” while Gorospe unveils paintings of suitcases, bags, and trucks filled to the brim, packed and pregnant with narratives from the past in “Storage Stories.” Vinluan and Taniguchi present their recent works in their two-man show.

‘Allmighty’ at Now Gallery
Pablo Baen Santos, Buen Calubayan, Charlie Co, Mideo M. Cruz, Antipas Delotavo, Emmanuel Garibay and Iggy Rodriguez mount “Allmighty,” which opens on Jan. 7 at Now Gallery, Unit M05, mezzanine floor, Ecoplaza Bldg., 2305 Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Makati City. The show runs until Jan. 29.
