Jerry Araos at The Crucible

-

MANILA, Philippines - Jerusalino “Jerry” Araos mounts an exhibition of sculptures titled “Tactile Glimpses of the Human Form,” which opens tomorrow, 6 p.m., at The Crucible.

Araos’ recent works are a more abstract take on the torso. Instead of visual correspondence, the contours of the sculptures as they are felt by the audience suggest the human form. With these pieces Araos encourages haptic exploration and perception.

The Crucible Gallery is at the fourth floor, SM Megamall A, Mandaluyong City. The show is on view until Jan. 8, 2012.
