“The Heart is a Dreadful Place to Live In” by Dave Lock

Tanya Villanueva examines images that catch her attention in “Fiction.” These range from instantly likeable images she finds on the Internet to what she considers grand gestures like love, death, sex, and triumph.

All four shows open tomorrow at West Gallery, 48 West Ave., QC. The shows run until Sept. 10.

Dodo Dayao and Ronald Achacoso at Mo_Space

Dodo Dayao presents some metaphor of the mythical Eden as both earthly paradise and ground zero of entropy in “Entropy Machine,” while Ronald Achacoso showcases his obsession with teasing the parallels that run between the process of art and the many processes of science in “Abstraction of Beasts.”
