Auction to help an artist fight cancer

MANILA, Philippines - The “Go, Jigs, Fight!” auction and raffle draw is organized by Liongoren Gallery and other friends and supporters of Yasmin “Jigs” Almonte, a visual artist who serves on the faculty of the College of Fine Arts, University of the Philippines Diliman. She is fighting an extremely rare cancer (stage 3 sarcoma) that originated from her jawbone, and she is now undergoing a series of chemotherapy procedures to conquer the cancer.

Participants who will buy tickets at P5,000 each will be entitled to bid at a silent auction and/or win a work at a raffle draw on Oct. 30, Sat. 2 p.m. at Liongoren Gallery 111 New York St. corner Stanford St. Cubao, Q.C.
