Manuel Ocampo at Tyler Rollins, New York
MANILA, Philippines - Manuel Ocampo looks back to his earlier fascination with religious symbols, which now reappear alongside some of his more personal, idiosyncratic motifs such as teeth, bones and fetuses, that heighten the feeling that we are looking into a nocturnal dream world in “An Arcane Recipe Involving Ingredients Cannibalized from the Reliquaries of Some Profane Illumination,” which opens on Sept. 16 at Tyler Rollins Fine Art in New York City. The show runs until Oct. 30.
The exhibit is Ocampo’s 60th solo show and his first in New York in four years.
