‘Ultramarine: New Paintings and Sculptures’ at New Eastwood Mall

Gino Bueza, Bej Bajar, Francis Commeyne, Geronimo Cristobal Jr., Mace Cruz, Ferd Failano, Pat Garcia, Hya Laoke, Rollie Florano, Caroline Ongpin, Ryan Tizon and Chalk Zaldivar invite viewers to return and evaluate the long-established form of painting and sculpture in “Ultramarine: New Paintings and Sculptures,” which opens today at the Atrium of New Eastwood Mall, Libis, QC. The show runs until March 6.

The group exhibit is sponsored by the University of the Philippines Artists’ Circle.

15th Likhang Sining at Ayala Museum

Ayala Museum holds the 15th Likhang Sining On-the-Spot Painting Contest on March 13 at the Ayala Museum, Makati Avenue corner Dela Rosa St., Greenbelt Park, Ayala Center, Makati City.

The competition is open to high school students, aged 12 to 18.

Likhang Sining is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Makati West for the Rotary International District 3830.

Entrants must be sponsored by a Rotary Club or an Interact Club of the school where he/she is presently enrolled, and endorsed by the principal or art teacher.

The first, second and third prize winners will each receive cash prizes and a trophy.

Entry forms are available at the nearest Rotary Office or at the Ayala Museum. Entry forms may be submitted via fax at 757-3588 or 845-1655.

Deadline of submission of entries is until March 6.

‘Bewildered’ art forum at The Lopez Museum

The Lopez Museum will host “Bewildered: How do We Keep Installation Art?,” a forum on contemporary art and art installations, on March 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ground floor, Benpres Building, Exchange Road corner Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

The forum features case studies of works that present unique issues relating to installation and environmental art.
