U.P. Centennial Artists hold 'Kalikasan' exhibit

MANILA, Philippines -  The University of the Philippines (UP) Centennial Artists will hold their second group exhibit for this year titled “Kalikasan,” which opens on Sept. 23, 6:30 p.m., at the Trade Hall, third floor of Gateway Mall, Araneta Center in Quezon City. The show is on view until Oct. 31

In this exhibition, the participating artists will present new works depicting local landscape scenes. The Centennial Artists were featured in the highly successful “100 Nudes/100 Years” show which coincided with U.P.’s Centenary in June 2008. They showcased three more exhibits since then.        

Participating artists in “Kalikasan” include National Artists Jose Joya, Cesar Legaspi, Sylvia Amorsolo-Lazo, Mar Bongalon, Benjie Cabangis, Angel Cacnio, Romy Carlos, Carlos Castro, Cris Cruz, Denes Dasco, Gig de Pio, Simkin de Pio, Vincent De Pio, Ric De Villa, Neil Doloricon, Bert Duldulao, Tessie Duldulao, J. Galicano, Esther Garcia, A. Guitering, Ding Hidalgo, Herman Lazo, Aileen Lanuza, Araceli Limcaco-Dans, Fred Liongoren, Jonah Salvosa, Pyt Santos, and Boy Valino, among others.
