Ballet goes Freestyle

MANILA, Philippines - Ballet Manila, led by its artistic director Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, teamed up with renowned pop-rock band Freestyle for a free concert marking the recent season opening of Star City at the Aliw Theater.
Jinky Vidal lent her vocal prowess to the band’s monster hits, which were interpreted onstage by the country’s foremost exponents of contemporary ballet.
Visitors to the country’s top amusement park also enjoyed a rare musical offering with singer/actress Jolina Magdangal. Star City also launched its newest adrenaline-pumping attraction — the Lazer Blaster.
