Ilocos Sur history book launch

MANILA, Philippines - Ilocos Sur: An Illustrated History by Ilocos Sur Governor Deogracias Victor “DV” B. Savellano, with illustrations by Philippine STAR artist Rene Aranda and University of the Philippines (UP) College of Fine Arts senior Armand “Bim” Bacaltos, will be launched on May 27, 7 p.m. at the main lobby of the Ayala Museum on Makati Ave., Makati City.

With principal research and documentation undertaken by Dr Maria Luisa Camagay of the UP History Department, and with editorial supervision of Ester G. Dipasupil, PDI desk editor, the coffee-table book designed by Benjo Laygo and Nanie Gonzales is intended to be an informative book not only for Ilocos Sur’s young citizens, but for those interested in tracing the roots of the province’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
