Be an Earth defender at Museo Pambata

-

MANILA, Philippines - For this year’s Earth Day celebration, Museo Pambata teaches kids how to become Earth-friendly at an early age.

Museo Pambata’s “Earth Defenders” event on April 22, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, offers children’s art workshops and environmental demonstrations at the museum.

Museo Pambata program director Liza Lim says, “We aim to help children understand that all of us are Earth defenders. It is by working together that ordinary people like us can achieve extraordinary things — like saving and taking care of the world we live in.”

There will be arts-and-crafts workshops on imaginative diorama-making with recycled materials, film showing to promote awareness on environmental issues, painting and planting on the museum’s plant boxes, recycling relay races and games, among other activities.

For information, call Museo Pambata at 523-1797 to 98 and 536-0595, or e-mail info@museopambata.org.
