Stellar cast for Rep's 'A Christmas Carol'

Some of Manila’s most popular theater actors will appear together in Repertory Philippines’ year-ending grand musical A Christmas Carol which opens on Nov. 14 at Onstage Greenbelt One, Ayala Malls, Makati City. The show runs until Dec. 14.

Bringing to life Charles Dickens’ immortal characters are Michael Williams, Audie Gemora, Miguel Faustmann, Only Torres, Joy Virata, Pinky Marquez, Rem Zamora, Oliver Usison, and Liesl Batucan.

 JM Rodriguez and Felix Rivera alternate as the young Ebenezer Scrooge opposite Christine Escudero and Cara Barredo as his sweetheart.

Others in the cast are Jejie Esguerra and Anna Santamaria as Mr. and Mrs Crachit (the poor but happy parents of Tiny Tim); Matthew Esteva and Ethan Paras as Tiny Tim; child actors Nacho Tambunting, Daniel Delgado, Basti Paras, Dustin Delgado, Alessa Zialcita, Liezl Nieto, Vea Salvador, Rocio Tambunting, Paolo Esteva, Crystal Paras, Arielle Guevara, Raizel Yu, and Luis Nieto.

Rep’s president and artistic director Baby Barredo co-directs with Robbie Guevara, who is also in charge of media projection design.

The artistic team is composed of Mio Infante for costume design; Lito Borromeo for set and lights design, assisted by Miguel Faustmann and Martin Esteva, respectively; Gidget Tolentino for sound design; and Deana Aquino as choreographer. Maestro Toti Molina will conduct the Manila Symphony Orchestra.
