Silverlens Foundation Grant Program 2008

Silverlens foundation (SLF) invites photographers and visual artists  working with photography to participate in their annual grant program. The SLF Grant Program for 2008 includes Acquisition, Completion, and Curatorial Exhibition Grants, and the Asian Cultural Council-Silverlens Foundation Fellowship.

An Acquisition Grant is given when work from a completed series, in part or as a whole, are acquired for the silverlens foundation collection. Completion Grants  are given to finish an ongoing body of work. An edition of the finished portfolio will become part of the silverlens foundation  collection.

A Curatorial Exhibition Grant is awarded to assist an individual in completing a curatorial project leading to a month-long exhibit in the silverlens gallery. The Asian Cultural Council-silverlens foundation Fellowship Grant is awarded to an individual or individuals who can actively contribute to the growth of the field of photography in the Philippines.

The grant is for study, research, observation, creative exploration, participation in conferences and seminars and related activities in the United States or other Asian countries. Photographers, artists, curators, historians, journalists, critics, educators, conservators and individuals may apply.

The deadline for applying for the silverlens foundation Grant Program 2008 is on January 30, 2007.
