Justin Texon with San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra

SinagTala and the San Miguel Foundation for the Performing Arts present Berlin based Filipino violinist Justin Texon at 8PM on October 19, 2004 at St. Cecilia’s Hall, St. Scholastica’s College, Manila. Performing with him is German-trained pianist Peter Porticos and the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra. A highlight of the concert is the Philippine premiere of Conrado del Rosario’s Darungun, a piece for solo violin, which was first performed 8 years ago in Germany and inspired by the people and the culture of the Muranao. The concert will help raise funds for Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists (PREDIS.) This concert is part of the official celebration of German month, made possible by the endorsement and involvement of the Association of Hanns Seidel Foundation Scholars of the Philippines Inc.

    Schubert Rosamunde Overture

    Mozart Violin concerto in A major (# 5)
