Search for 2003 art scholars open

The Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) is now accepting applications for full secondary education scholarship for SY 2003-2004 through its Annual Nationwide Search for Young Art Scholars (ANSYAS) program.
The yearly search screens Grade VI and VII pupils from both private and public elementary schools for placement in dance (ballet and folk), music (voice and instrument), theater arts, creative writing, and visual arts programs.
The scholars are awarded free tuition, free board and lodging, a monthly stipend, and the privilege to represents the country in art festivals, camps, competitions, and youth exchange programs with partner countries.
Reproducible application forms are available free of charge from any of the following sources: Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA), National Arts Center, Mt. Makiling, College 4031, Los Baños, Laguna; or at PHSA-NCR Office, Folk Arts Theater, Pasay City; The National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA), General Luna St., Intramuros, Manila; The Dramatic Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Literary Arts, and Dance Divisions, Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Pasay City; and The National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA), Folks Arts Theater, Pasay City.
Deadlines for submission of applications are as follows: Applicants from Luzon - Sept. 20; Applicants from Visayas - Oct. 18; Applicants from Mindanao - Nov. 8.
