Aegle: State-of-the-art wellness center
The launch of the Aegle Wellness Center at The City Club in Alphaland Makati Place is set to change the way people look at wellness, with state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities that are at par with the best in the world.
According to Alphaland president Babes Oreta, the name of the wellness center was derived from a Greek mythological goddess of healing by the name of Aegle, who is one of the daughters of Asclepius — the god of medicine.
This brainchild of businessman and Alphaland chairman Bobby Ongpin offers best-in-class wellness equipment with a range of medical diagnostics and screening tests from blood chemistry to body composition analysis, hormone profiling metabolic analysis and plethysmography (a test to check the extent of blockage in the arteries). Equipment include the hyperbaric chamber for oxygen therapy, a colon hydrotherapy machine, a one-click auto facial diagnosis multi-sensor (for facial and dermatologic diagnosis) and a portable vein finder that emits a red light to help visualize those hard to find veins when inserting needles for therapy.
The members of the medical staff, naturally, are all well-trained and highly qualified for all the procedures and services being offered at the center. Aegle’s medical director is none other than Dr. Ben Valdecañas — an acclaimed specialist in regenerative medicine research — with Dr. Claude Charchaud, who helped develop the concept for the facility. Both have committed to turn Aegle into one of the leading wellness centers not only in the Philippines but also in the world.
