The best of People(Asia)

THIS WEEK ON PEOPLEASIA - The Philippine Star

The nation’s most popular glossy magazine, PeopleAsia, hosted a thanksgiving dinner for its top supporters and advertisers at the Tosca restaurant of the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati.

Now on its 15th year, the magazine has distinguished itself for its riveting stories on extraordinary individuals who make a positive difference in other people’s lives for their creativity, courage, heroism, talent, dedication and excellence in their respective fields. Over the years, the magazine’s cover has been graced by presidents, taipans, showbiz celebrities, intrepid entrepreneurs, beauty queens, sports icons — the diversity of features making every page of PeopleAsia magazine truly a great read.

The event also served as an opportunity to introduce the new chairman of Stargate Media Corp. (the publishing outfit of the magazine) — no other than lawyer Ray Espinosa who also happens to be the chairman of The Philippine STAR. The entry of Atty. Ray — who topped the Philippine Bar exams in 1982 — marks an exciting new chapter in the history of the magazine, with Stargate Media also poised to explore new avenues in digital media publishing.

Joining Espinosa were Stargate president and associate publisher Kevin Belmonte, PeopleAsia general manager and editor-in-chief Joanne Rae Ramirez who all conveyed their appreciation for the VIP guests such as PCSO GM Joy Rojas, Covenant Cars and Scandinavian Motors CEO Albert Arcilla, Thai Airways GM Sern Chupikulchai and many others whose generous support have made PeopleAsia the top magazine that it is today.
