Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms!

A group of friends spent an extraordinary, relaxing evening at Tosca,  the elegant Italian restaurant of Dusit Thani Manila. 

For starters, the antipasti and premium wines that preceded the exquisite sit-down dinner put everyone in the mood. Many thanks to Dusit Thani Manila’s genial general manager Alex Willats and efficient communications director Shariza Relova for making sure the evening was a memorable one! 

A special Italian menu, masterfully created by chef Maurizio Gibillini, included risotto alla milanese, cernia al salmoriglio, filetto di manzo in crosta, with the classic Italian dome cake called Zucotto as pièce de résistance. The festive dinner concluded with endless rounds of hearty singing of favorite selections from “Johnny’s Songbook.”

Among those seen having a splendid time at Tosca were Camp John Hay Development Corp. executive vice president and chief operating officer Boysie Yñiguez and wife Jeannie, brilliant lawyers Opap Villonco and Rene Puno with wife Ann, smart lady bankers Cora Corpuz and Angel Rosales, Grace Palma-Tiongco of the Financial Executives of the Philippines and Management Association of the Philippines, enterprising businessmen Abundance Providers and Entrepreneurs Corp. chairman and president Noel Oñate, Michael Chiusolo and Richard Tiu, Ballet Philippines president and former Miss Universe Margie Moran-Floirendo.

One of my favorite venues, Tosca has three inner rooms for exclusive engagements, small casual gatherings or just to enjoy fine dining in private. The restaurant is known for its chic ambiance, exceptional service, authentic Italian cuisine, live piano music and premium spirits — characteristics of an unforgettable dining experience!
