MANILA, Philippines - Hardy Aquende, son of Eumeriano and Pilar Aquende, will marry Carmela Dela Paz, daughter of architect Amerigo and Rosa Rossini Dela Paz, on Nov. 16 at San Agustin Church in Manila. Reception will follow at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.
The couple met at the University of the Philippines College of Law, where they were classmates for four years. After graduation, they both started their legal career with the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices. Hardy recently obtained his Master’s degree in International Taxation from the New York University School of Law and is now the chief legislation officer of the Office of Sen. Sonny Angara, while Carmela is currently an associate general counsel of San Miguel Corp.
