Chic & charitable
A photo exhibit celebrating 10 years of dressing up for charity was mounted recently at Greenbelt 5’s Fashion Walk in Makati City. On display were portraits of the 2013 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines awardees and the Style Icons as well as the Ambassadors for Life, Best Dressed honorary chairperson Meldy Cojuangco and the Best Dressed selection and organizing committee chaired by Angola Consul Helen Ong.
The Best Dressed event is held annually to raise funds for the Philippine Cancer Society’s (PCS) cancer awareness programs. A joint project with the Camera Club of the Philippines, the photo exhibit had PCS chairman Dr. Roberto Paterno and Camera Club of the Philippines vice president Nesty Ocampo cutting the ribbon to officially open the exhibit. A huge crowd admired the photographs and enjoyed the sumptuous cocktail fare from The French Baker courtesy of its CEO Johnlu Koa.
The annual Best Dressed Awards Ball is set on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Makati Shangri-La’s Rizal Ballroom.
A lovely woman in a designer gown always deserves a glance but the beauty of a compassionate soul is forever.
