A king’s celebration
Reaching the big 8-0 definitely calls for a grand celebration and this is what the indefatigable Ado Escudero did for his special day. Elegantly dressed in an all-white maharajah costume designed by Patis Tesoro, the man of the hour welcomed family and friends, stylishly clad in costumes representing the four classical continents, to the enchanting Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort for his day-long birthday celebration.
An afternoon Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus of Cebu Ricardo Cardinal Vidal while the evening program featured spectacular performances from Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, classical singers The Filipino Tenors, Asia’s Diva Dulce and the multi-awarded Club Mwah! Dancers. Everyone was treated to a sumptuous and mouthwatering selection of food served from lunch until dinner, with overflowing drinks and wine.
Among those who attended this special occasion were Italian Ambassador Massimo Roscigno and wife Agnes as well as Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tu. It was indeed an affair to remember for everyone, most especially for the fun-loving celebrator.
