It was a night of beauty, fun, family and friendships as the Allure section of The Philippine Star honored 20 Women of Allure with a photo exhibit recently at the Power Plant Mall of Rockwell Center in Makati City. The event celebrated women from diverse fields whose passion and love for their craft show in their accomplishments and inspiring stories.
The Women of Allure 2013 are corporate brand manager Timi Gomez-Aquino, Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2013 Ariella Arida, model Ria Bolivar, The Peninsula Manila events director Stephanie Chong, painter and entrepreneur Karen Concepcion, mixed-media artist Jia Estrella, retailer and designer Joanna Preysler-Francisco, Stores Specialists Inc. marketing communications manager Malu Francisco, restaurateur Malu Gamboa, UAAP Season 75 Women’s Volleyball Finals MVP Michele Gumabao, Chevrolet executive Bel Laureola, Cura V co-founder Kai Lim, jewelry designer Joyce Makitalo, Biñan City Mayor Len Alonte-Naguiat, fashion designer Vania Romoff, jeweler Yvonne Dayrit-Romualdez, fashion designer TC Alvarez-Sibal, STAR columnist and magazine editor Cheryl Tiu, model-actress Valerie Weigmann and STAR columnist and chef Stephanie Zubiri.
Hosted by Markki Stroem, the event was spearheaded by Allure editor Joanne Rae Ramirez with assistant editor Büm Tenorio Jr. and STAR SVP for sales and marketing Lucien Dy Tioco. Joanne was wearing a red number designed by one of the Women of Allure, TC Alvarez-Sibal.
Gracing the event were Sen. Grace Poe (Women of Allure awardee in 2011), St. Luke’s medical director Dr. Joven Cuanang, Condura’s Ton Concepcion, Stargate GM Beth Mendoza and businessman Jerry Tiu and wife Lianne, among others.
The event was presented by the Power Plant Mall. Guests enjoyed sumptuous canapés and flowing drinks from the exhibit’s co-presentor, Bizu Patisserie. The Women of Allure 2013 took home giveaways from The Body Shop. Fujifilm was the exhibit’s official printer.
