Celebrating Sige Moms
MANILA, Philippines - Mothers who have the utmost enthusiasm and passion for paving exciting paths for their children are called Sige Moms. Today, we celebrate them.
Breeze has thrust Sige Moms into the spotlight and has chosen ambassadors to represent the moms who can do it all: foremost local actress Dawn Zulueta, multi-faceted Sen. Pia Cayetano, ever-creative designer and columnist Tessa Prieto-Valdes and celebrity mom Carmina Villaroel. All these mothers embody the essence of the Sige Moms who instigates life experiences for their children.
In its study on child development, Breeze has found that children only remember 10 percent of what they read, 20 percent of what they hear, 30 percent of what they see, and, amazingly, 90 percent of what they do. Though there are many options in aiding child development through today’s technology, Breeze believes that nothing compares to good old playtime and experience. Many mothers nowadays live by experiential learning, and some who can testify to its benefits are Isabelle Tuason, Ina Enverga de la Paz and Tanya Moreno de la Paz — mothers who are not only hands-on but very willing to let their children engage in less structured activities.
“Nowadays, kids are becoming so tech savvy at such a tender age. Though my daughter learns a lot from using the computer, I like to make sure I can strike a balance between her active play time and computer time so she can experience all aspects of learning,†says Ina, mom to five-year-old London.
The same goes for mommy Tanya who enjoys spending time with two-year-old Diego by swimming and engaging in active outdoor play.
Admittedly, giving your child the freedom to play outdoors and explore can lead to a lot of mess. Stained clothes are almost a guarantee. In fact, 89 percent of moms view laundry as the most daunting of household tasks. Sige Moms agree — but what makes all the difference is how these stains came to happen.
“I know my son loves to play outdoors, in the heat, in the cold, and even in the rain,†says Tanya, “I find it most rewarding when Diego comes back home with a different glow, as though what he just experienced makes this chapter of his life richer.â€
Isabelle is no stranger to stains, either, and shares her two cents, “It’s not easy cleaning up the mess of others, and though it’s really rewarding to see our children make the most of their youth, we, as their moms, can’t escape the reality of having to keep up with the kids.â€
Breeze with Active Bleach contains nothing less than a fast-acting stain repellant that not only gets rid of stains, but also gets rid of the worries of the moms. Now, doing the laundry has become a true labor of love, but this time, with a lot less of the labor.
This Mother’s Day, we recognize the stellar performances of the moms who have dedicated their time and effort into enriching the lives of their children. At the end of the day, whichever way a mother’s unconditional love is expressed, nothing is more evident than the result of letting her kids experience and learn from life at its fullest.
