MULTIPLE CHOICE - Luis Espiritu Jr. - The Philippine Star

Modern menswear fashion has grown into a vast landscape of style. The menswear’s progressive evolution in contemporary dressing, no longer behind women’s wear, has resulted in the countless variety of retails in the market. What used to be an endless wardrobe of basic essentials (such as the classics, corporate and street wear pieces) is now filled with a style diversity that fits one’s mood, look of individuality and preference.

International menswear brand Hugo Boss has branched out into a variety of lines to cater to today’s contemporary lifestyle. Boss Menswear’s recent campaign for Spring/Summer 2013 is inspired by the jet-setting travels to Tokyo, Japan. This city reflects the values and aesthetics of the brand with its latest collection focusing on modern classics.

The key statement is an understatement. Subdued hues capture the season with light gray melange, dark iris blue or black. Boss accentuates the pale and restrained with a hint of brights in yellow, green and orange. Menswear is updating the man’s wardrobe with a refreshing color statement that can be worn monochromatic way or with a range of combinations. The relaxed, tailored look comes in stylish must-have jackets, T-shirts, knits and pants in ultra-light fabrication. Modern construction in up-to-date silhouettes is reshaping the classics to a new standard of dressing.

These everyday staples — young, vibrant and full of style — are the new essentials that would never go out of style. Boss Menswear Spring/Summer 2013 takes the modern man forward into a new level of trendsetting global retail fashion.

(In the Philippines, Boss is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Shangri-La and Newport Mall.)
