Mod geometry
Sixties fashion is making a big comeback as one of the biggest trends for Spring/Summer 2013. As the endless forecasts of runway hits unfold this season, designer Michael Kors reinvents the mod era with a parade of stripes, color blocks and digital prints. The statement is taken from a study in lines and shapes wherein the renowned designer labels his latest collection as “geometric glamour.â€
The linear perspective takes modern style adaptations moving into more sophisticated and grown-up sensibilities. Bold, crisp and full of brights, Kors takes the ‘60s to the future with his trademark style of putting the “striped†tease definitely on the top of the fashion radar. Each covetable piece is updated with metallic detailing and cuts in a range of contemporary silhouettes.
Color is hitting the shores and sizzles with a variety of sizes and style-worthy attention. The endless lines evident throughout the collection echo the feel of casual understatement with hints of elegance. Though the pieces may not be showstoppers, these summer style essentials are must-haves for the season’s geometric play and display under the sun.
