A book for Erap's birthday

- Johnny Litton -

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” — Robert Frost

It was a most touching gesture when friends and colleagues of former President Joseph “Erap” Ejercito Estrada gifted him with a book on his 75th birthday. Entitled Ito ang Pilipino: A Tribute to Joseph Estrada, the book, written and compiled by former news anchor and Estrada spokesperson Margaux Salcedo, was launched at the Atrium of the Enderun Colleges located at The Fort in Taguig City. Among the guests were prominent figures in politics and the movie industry — Vice President Jejomar Binay, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board chairman Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares, Erap’s former Cabinet members Ronnie Zamora and Ben Diokno, movie producer Marichu Vera-Perez Maceda, actress Boots Anson-Roa and even Erap’s high school classmates from Ateneo.

Welcome to the “diamond club,” Erap!

An unforgettable birthday bash for Chito

A simple dinner turned out to be a most unforgettable evening for famed architect Chito Antonio, who was feted with a surprise birthday dinner led by good friends Rita Cruz and Vina Mercado. Held at the Romulo Room of the Prince Albert Rotisserie at the InterContinental Hotel in Makati, Chito celebrated amidst close friends like philanthropist Baby Arenas and international painter Betsy Westendorp. The elegant ambience, excellent menu and engaging conversations all added up to a truly memorable evening.
