Summer in style

MANILA, Philippines - The season of sun is also about discovering the great indoors in style.

Fashion enthusiasts from all over the metro released their inner style guru and put together their own interpretation of this season’s best summer ensemble wearing Sperry Top-Sider via a digital collage contest.

A partnership between Sperry Top-Sider and Status magazine, the “Summer with Sperry” digital collage contest yielded hundreds of entries all artistically bringing in digital fashion with classic yet stylish get-ups that perfectly match the iconic Sperry Top-Sider.

Awarded top summer fashion-inspired collage entries were Toch Barreiro and Mita Chabeli Pangan.

In a fashion editorial shoot published in the March issue of Status, these winning entries were immortalized by personalities Frank Magalona and Nicole Wuthrich as they strutted their stuff to capture the essence of the great indoors in light, crisp and clean lines.

A clever mix of shorts, trousers, dress and casual long sleeves in solid neutral palettes were the key pieces needed to create a carefree summer look that perfectly depicted the winning summer fashion collages. Adding sophistication to these looks was the careful selection of bright colors sparingly used in selected accessories.

Defining the looks were pieces from Sperry Top-Authentic Original Collection. This line offers a fresh take on the classic boat shoe pioneered by the brand, updated with fresh designs. Also featured is a grey wingtip from the Boat Oxford collection. The Boat Oxford collection boasts Sperry styling, non-slip outsole and craftsmanship combined with a traditional oxford. Rendered in leather, canvas and suede, this collection boasts of a large range of colors and treatments that defy time with its classic silhouettes.

(Sperry Top-Sider opened a retail store in TriNoma and is soon to open in Bonifacio High Street and several other locations this year. It is also available in Complex Lifestyle Store in Eastwood Mall, Alabang Town Center, Festival Mall and Ayala Center Cebu, Shoe Salon, Rustan’s and select department stores.)
