Sweet fascination

MULTIPLE CHOICE - Luis Espiritu Jr. -

Spring-Summer 2012 is color trending with everything looking as fine as sugar. Last season’s bold brights and color blocking have taken the back seat to give way to the must-have hues of sweet intoxications.

Local designer Louis Claparols unveiled a delightful collection of pastel-licious and sorbet-like hues in all their sugary attraction at the Fashion Week held at the SMX Convention Center. The fashion trend is about sheer and softness  all covered in unmistakable sweetness. How can one resist modern swimwear layered in tulle and chiffon, creating a chic sexy but sophisticated look that is so fitting for the sizzling days to come?

Swimsuits are no longer restricted for the sun and sand. This is evident in Claparols’ ingenious pixie-inspired creations that have stylishly found their sweet ways into dressy day and evening wear. Dressing up swimwear in practical layering enables one to create and play with a variety of flash forward styles. The classic swimsuit today is becoming a covetable piece convenient for day to night attires as it adds up to the range of contemporary resort/beach wear.

Turn off the brights and let there be light in welcoming this summer’s noteworthy pastel fascination.
