A royal indulgence

It was an exceptional evening of royal elegance and sophistication as Manila’s elite recently became part of a milestone — the grand Philippine launch of Hennessy Paradis Imperial at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La. The brilliant team of Moet Hennessy, the name that made cognac famous worldwide, led by Asia Pacific area director Steven Bullock, Asia Pacific brand ambassador Arnaud Mirey, Philippine chief representative Olga Azarcon and business development manager Randy Uson proudly introduced the rare and unique blend of outstanding rarity and quality that is Paradis Imperial. This majestic drink made for the royals is Hennessy’s special recreation of the historical cognac requested by Dowager Empress Maria Federovna from the Imperial Palace to be given as gift to her son, Tsar Alexander I of Russia, 200 years ago.
Guests were ushered into the hotel’s ballroom which was transformed into a beautiful crystal palace with a dining hall adorned with hanging crystal chandeliers and glass elements. The attendees discovered the finest of cognacs as they savored the rare concoction of subtle yet flavorful notes complemented with a fine six-course dinner that was fit for kings and queens. Making the experience more enchanting were the amazing musical performances from the Chamber Orchestra, talented Jed Madela with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, and lovely lounge singer Francheska Farr, to name a few. Everyone absolutely had a great time in this special and unique affair.
