A royal blast for a successful year
“The way we live our days is the way we live our lives.” — Annie Dillard
The 32nd anniversary of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) was highlighted by a grand “Royal Ball.” The affair was held at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La and was spearheaded by the hardworking president Nene Leonor with annual ball committee director Grace Palma Tiongco, co-chairpersons Karen Macasaet, Rose Basa, Rosita Lesaca, Nene Pe Lim and Gilda Salonga with the support of committee members including Mabel Abaño, Lili Adina and Chit Bautista among others. It was truly a glittery evening as guests went garbed in royal fashion with their elegant gowns and dapper suits. Adding to the excitement were the spectacular performances of artists Michael Williams and Menchu Lauchengco who sang excerpts of famous Broadway hits. With the help of gracious sponsors like Imelda Cojuangco, Esther Vibal and former President Joseph Estrada, the proceeds of this event will be used for the organization’s scholarship, arts and cultural projects. Congratulations to FCCP for another successful gathering! Here’s to more prosperous years!
